Biomarker Regulations and Ethics
This session examines regulatory, ethical, and quality considerations involved in biomarker research and clinical implementation. Researchers and professionals are invited to submit abstracts addressing biomarker validation requirements, laboratory standards, patient consent, data privacy, and responsible research practices. Relevant fields include clinical research, regulatory science, bioethics, laboratory medicine, pharmaceutical development, and healthcare policy. Suitable topics include analytical and clinical validation, biomarker qualification, ethical use of biological samples, protection of genetic information, and responsible management of research data. Studies discussing regulatory pathways, reproducibility, transparency, and quality assurance are welcome. Research exploring challenges in translating experimental biomarkers into approved clinical applications is also relevant. Contributions may address emerging technologies, governance frameworks, and best practices that promote reliable, ethical, and clinically meaningful biomarker development.
