Companion Diagnostics
This session focuses on diagnostic tests designed to identify patients who are most likely to benefit from particular medicines or treatments. Researchers are invited to submit abstracts involving biomarker-based patient selection, molecular diagnostic assays, targeted therapies, and precision medicine. Relevant fields include clinical pathology, molecular diagnostics, oncology, pharmacogenomics, and pharmaceutical development. Suitable topics include companion diagnostic development, assay validation, patient stratification, predictive biomarkers, and testing strategies for targeted drugs. Studies examining relationships between biomarker status and treatment outcomes are welcome. Research involving next-generation sequencing, immunohistochemistry, molecular profiling, and diagnostic technologies is also relevant. Contributions may discuss analytical performance, clinical utility, implementation challenges, and regulatory considerations. The session aims to advance personalized treatment by connecting reliable diagnostic testing with appropriate therapeutic decisions.
